It began in the 1930s in Mantua with Alfredo Corneliani, one of the pioneers in the men's fashion sector in Italy, with hand-tailored raincoats and well-made outerwear that quickly became successful.
But it were his sons, Carlalberto and Claudio, who founded Corneliani in the second half of the 1950s and gave it a dimension, an identity, a high standard that made it a landmark in men's fashion worldwide.
The company began as an artisan business in the historic town centre of Mantua, a city of art and culture that had its moment of greatest splendour during the Renaissance.
Along with them the third generation is now playing its part: Corrado in technical management, Maurizio in commercial management, Sergio in creative management, and Cristiano in managing foreign markets
