Jesse Crankson Interview
Each month, we ask a photographer to picture a Corneliani Travel Jacket on someone, somewhere in the world. These shots were taken in London by Jesse Crankson, a self-taught photographer, director and creative director. Primarily working in the fashion and music industries, Jesse has worked with brands such as Universal, Apple, YMC, Citizen Magazine and Alexander McQueen.

Where did you take these pictures?
Jesse Crankson: «Park Crescent, next to Regent’s Park».
Who’s wearing the Travel Jacket?
Jesse Crankson «My good friend Zavier George, a model who studies architecture».
What was the mood you were trying to convey?
Jesse Crankson: «Quiet luxury among the streets of an overcast London».
What does this location mean to you?
Jesse Crankson: «As a kid, I’d go into London with my dad and he would take me to all the big department stores».
Do you think the images you’ve captured say something about you – or do you try to keep yourself out of the frame?
Jesse Crankson: «The images resemble someone in deeper thought, alluding to something more. I see myself as quite an introspective person. I would say sometimes this rubs off in my work».
What do you like about travelling?
Jesse Crankson: «I love new experiences that help you grow and give you a new sense of purpose within a specific moment in time. I’m a big foodie, too, so I like to try as many food spots as possible».
What does your style say about who you are?
Jesse Crankson: «Most of the garments I wear are vintage or archival. I care mainly about how clothes feel and fall on a person – smart casual, in a nutshell».
Do you feel most like yourself when you’re at home or when you’re travelling?
Jesse Crankson: «It varies. Different places have different effects on how I feel – sometimes I feel most myself when I’m travelling, at home or on set shooting».
What’s something unexpected that’s always in your suitcase?
Jesse Crankson: «Everything I need is in my suitcase, but nothing is unexpected».
How did the Travel Jacket hold up in the field?
Jesse Crankson: «It was functional and excellent quality».
