Where did you take these pictures?
Jessie Prince: «Byron Bay, Australia's most easterly point».
Who’s wearing the Travel Jacket?
Jessie Prince «Frankie Johnson, a local skater and model here in Byron Bay».
What was the mood you were trying to convey?
Jessie Prince: «The mood of an enchanting life by the sea».
What does this location mean to you?
Jessie Prince: «This is a place to take a breath, to watch the migrating whales and see the world from a perspective that gives you a sense of your own humanity and the world around you».
Do you think the images you’ve captured say something about you – or do you try to keep yourself out of the frame?
Jessie Prince: «My draw to light and form is apparent in these images, creating an intimacy that I suppose is innate within me. The images reveal something about how I see the world – my curiosity, my attention to quiet details and my appreciation for moments that might otherwise go unnoticed».
What do you like about travelling?
Jessie Prince: «Creating memories that live on to be a reference and a compass for life. Also, the pure joy of being in curiosity».
What does your style say about who you are?
Jessie Prince: «I have a penchant for beautiful fabrics, quality garments and structured cuts. My style, I suppose, is practical but elegant; I've always been drawn to the duality of things: masculine and feminine, strong but gentle, quiet but intense. In a way, I probably dress like this, too».
Do you feel most like yourself when you’re at home or when you’re travelling?
Jessie Prince: «Anywhere that I am alone, I feel most like myself! But there is something about a solo road trip that makes me feel alive and connected to myself».
What’s something unexpected that’s always in your suitcase?
Jessie Prince: «A massage ball».
How did the Travel Jacket hold up in the field?
Jessie Prince: «Beautiful and light, which is perfect for our climate here in Byron Bay. Also, the elegant cut and shape feel international and considered, which makes it a versatile garment for dressing up or keeping it casual».
